On the occasion of the Wawa Design Festival, designer Dominika Wojtkowska-Banaszek ingeniously utilized the Danish GRID system of spatial cubes to craft a distinctive artistic installation, offering her interpretation of the iconic Warsaw Palace of Culture and Science. Comprising a total of 477 modules measuring 40x40x40 cm each, the structure towers at over 9 meters high, nestled within the bustling premises of Socho Factory. The decision to permanently preserve this creation was made by the site manager towards the conclusion of 2014.

In stark contrast to the massive original edifice, the Prague rendition boasts a light, minimalist design ethos. Wojtkowska-Banaszek, the mastermind behind the installation's concept, highlights how this artistic endeavor introduces a fresh perspective on Warsaw while acknowledging the ongoing transformation of its right-bank region. Drawing immediate parallels to the Palace of Culture and Science, the installation breathes new life into one of the city's most evocative symbols. The designer elaborates on the transition occurring at Soho Factory, with the emergence of restaurants, designer furniture showrooms, contemporary offices, and architectural studios amidst revitalized industrial structures. Formerly abandoned post-industrial spaces are gradually experiencing a revival, embodying the essence of transformation. Wojtkowska-Banaszek views her creation as a symbolic representation of these changes and envisions it as a gathering spot or landmark that will benefit both locals and tourists alike.
